While the title seems dull, this was actually one of my favorite pieces to write and still is one of my favorite to go back and listen to.

I was trying to write music for an RPG video game that I briefly (and very naively) was to develop for fun. As the name suggests, this was meant for a hilly or plainy section of the game.

This song also marks one of my first major ventures into the world of orchestration. I had so much fun writing all the parts for the wind instruments, so much so that at times I definitely overdid it with all the different motifs playing overtop of each other. Despite this, I still really enjoy this song and kind of just laugh at the parts where it gets a little busy.
